Island Grown Farmers Cooperative (IGFC)
A Northwest Washington co-op of small livestock/meat producers dedicated to providing the best in healthful meats. IGFC leases the mobile processing unit (MPU), the first of its kind in the nation, developed by the Lopez Community Land Trust and local farmers.

Lopez Community Land Trust is a private, non-profit, community-based organization that acts as a resource for, and provides access to, permanently affordable housing and land for low-income residents, while cultivating sustainable economic development, and nurturing an ethic of land stewardship.
Lopez Locavores
Lopez Locavores promotes the consumption of foods that have been sustainably produced, processed and distributed within the local region. To this end, the non-profit offers monthly community dinners prepared from meat and vegetables produced on island farms.
Michael Fields Agricultural Institute (MFAI)
Michael Fields Agricultural Institute in East Troy, Wisconsin is dedicated “to help create places on earth where people could engage their creativity with enthusiasm, caring for nature and human beings in cooperation with nature instead of working against her laws, so that new socially and economically healthy enterprises could be built. We thought that this should happen in connection with, and on the basis of, agriculture,” writes Martina Mann in her 2006 autobiography, “My Life in the 20th Century”. MFAI offers education in biodynamics and crop and soils research.

The San Juan Islands Conservation District is committed to protecting and enhancing the natural resources of San Juan County ecosystems. The organization provides free education, information and technical assistance on Sustainable Farm & Forest Resource Planning, Sustainable Land Use Practices & Low Impact Development, Water Quality & Watershed Awareness, Native Plant Use & Wildlife Habitat Preservation and Natural Resources Education Workshops to residents and organizations in San Juan County.
The Melissa Garden
The Melissa Garden is a honeybee sanctuary in Healdsburg, California, at the western side of the Russian River Valley. The Melissa Garden offer tours and classes on what to plant for honeybees; workshops on holistic hive management and opportunities to learn about apitherapy, the therapeutic use of products of the hive.
